I started out my first year at Seattle University with a mixture of hope, fear and determination. I have learned a great deal within the classrooms, living in the dorms, walking on Broadway, being in Seattle in general, and processing this all in my mind. I have realized my life goals. I have planned, planned and planned quite meticulously. Yet I have also learned that many things in life need to be left up to chance. There needs to be room for spontaneity. I cannot be as much of a control freak as I want to be sometimes :) I learned more about world history, was presented with various philosophical views about life, learned more about the Spanish language and culture, scratched the surface of microbiology, became fascinated with our criminal justice system and further developed my analytical reading & writing skills. My freshman year at Seattle University was a strenuous journey of ups and downs, discovering my strengths and weaknesses. Through everything, I am proud to say that I maintained a 3.973 GPA (if only I could remove that A- in my biology lecture class!). I hope I am able to keep up the hard work for the next couple years until graduation in June 2010. Let the relaxing summer begin!
