Election Day/My 20th!

Let's just say, if the election had been twenty or thirty years ago...

Handsome John McCain may have had a chance :)

But then they grew up...

And one gained a little more sense than the other.
(and one unfortunately lost his good looks)

Winning the 2008 Presidential Election. Barack Obama.
Election Day happened to fall on my birthday this year. November 4, 2008, my 20th birthday.
What a great birthday present to hear Obama is going to be our new president.

So enough about politics! Let's talk about my birthday!
I woke up on my birthday morning a little later than my usual school day morning. My Spanish professor decided to let us have the day off! Nice. I decided to take work off, too, because my birthday is incredibly important. So the only class I had to face was my History of Psychology class, where my professor was returning our midterms from the week before. Yikes! An obstacle on my birthday. I ended up with an 87%. Not an ideal score, but I tried my best. I didn't let it ruin my birthday! My roommate made my morning by giving me the most thoughtful gifts: coloring books, a little stuffed animal frog and a blow-up balloon tiger. After class, I took the long trek and bus ride over to UW to visit Adam. We had yummy teriyaki for lunch. Then, he gave me another perfect gift: Sleeping Beauty, a fairytale written about us and a wireless mouse (that I've been wanting for a long time!). It was so great to spend time with him for my birthday :) Next was dinner time! At Vince's, of course. Mom, Dad, Molly and Uncle Bret were there with me for a fabulous and delicious meal. I received a few precious gifts from Aunt Elaine, who passed away a few weeks ago. Mom, Grandma, Dad, Molly and Uncle Bret gave me more wonderful gifts (including tea, a super cute makeup bag, pretty shirts, a gorgeous purse, and an adorable LuLuLemon jacket). It was a wonderful birthday. Thank you everyone! I'm 20!
